Tomb Raider is an action-adventure series of video games originally published by Eidos Interactive and latterly Square Enix. Since its original release 1996, the series has gone on to sell over 75 million copies worldwide, with Lara Croft becoming one of the most recognisable characters in video games and even earning a world record for "most successful video game heroine".
