Mega Man is a series of platform games created by Capcom. Originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987, the series has gone on to see eleven releases in its main series, in addition to numerous other titles, and has extended onto a range of different gaming platforms. It remains one of Capcom's most popular franchises to date.
